JelloChat Terms of Service

Experimental Service. JelloChat is an experimental chat, community, direct message, and voice service. Features, availability, rules, moderation tools, and policies may change without notice. Use JelloChat at your own risk.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in, joining a server, sending messages, using voice features, or otherwise using JelloChat, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use JelloChat.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use JelloChat, or older if your local law requires a higher minimum age.

JelloChat is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone who is under the minimum age, we may restrict, suspend, or delete the account and related data.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate account information.
• Keeping your login credentials secure.
• Activity that occurs under your account.
• Making sure you have permission to use any avatar, username, content, or links you post.

You must not sell, share, transfer, or give unauthorized access to your account.

You must not use fake, misleading, stolen, compromised, or impersonation-based account information.

4. Bots, Automation, and Abuse

Bot accounts, self-bots, automated user accounts, scripted signups, scripted logins, scraping, token abuse, spam automation, rate-limit bypassing, or accounts used to evade platform rules are not allowed unless JelloChat gives written permission.

JelloChat may block, restrict, or terminate bot accounts and automated abuse without warning. We may use automated systems, logs, metadata, rate limits, honeypot fields, IP reputation, and other signals to detect bot activity and abuse.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate laws or regulations.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, bully, or encourage harm against others.
• Impersonate people, companies, staff, moderators, or other users.
• Post, upload, transmit, or link to unlawful, infringing, harmful, exploitative, or abusive content.
• Post sexual content involving minors, grooming behavior, or child exploitation material.
• Dox, leak private information, or encourage privacy violations.
• Spam, scam, phish, distribute malware, or run fraud.
• Attempt unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities, reverse engineer restricted systems, or disrupt service operation.
• Abuse invites, reports, bans, voice features, direct messages, or moderation tools.
• Evade bans, restrictions, rate limits, account standing actions, or safety systems.

6. Community and Moderation

Server owners and moderators may manage community spaces, including invites, channels, roles, kicks, bans, and unbans, according to platform rules and applicable law.

JelloChat may review, remove, hide, restrict, preserve, or report content or accounts when needed for safety, security, rule enforcement, legal compliance, or service operation.

JelloChat may use automated moderation and bot-detection systems. Automated decisions may limit, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts when the system detects spam, bot activity, severe abuse, or repeated Terms violations.

7. Account Standing, Bans, and Termination

You may stop using JelloChat at any time.

We may warn, limit, restrict, suspend, ban, terminate, or delete accounts for:

• Terms violations.
• Bot activity or automated abuse.
• Spam, scams, malware, or phishing.
• Severe or repeated moderation violations.
• Security risks or compromised accounts.
• Ban evasion or account evasion.
• Legal requirements.
• Conduct that creates risk for JelloChat, users, servers, or service providers.

If your account is banned or terminated, your display name may be replaced with "Banned User" in user-facing areas, and your access tokens may be revoked. We may retain limited records, logs, reports, ban data, or message records as needed for safety, legal compliance, dispute handling, and abuse prevention.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to JelloChat.

By posting, sending, uploading, or sharing content, you grant JelloChat a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, display, moderate, and back up that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve JelloChat.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have rights to content you post and that your content complies with these Terms.

9. Privacy

Use of JelloChat is governed by the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information JelloChat collects, how it is used, how it may be shared, and what choices users have.

10. Third-Party Services

JelloChat may rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers, including hosting providers, database providers, SMTP/email providers, analytics or security tools, and voice or real-time communication providers such as LiveKit.

Availability, reliability, security, and performance may depend on those providers.

11. Service Availability

JelloChat is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue servers, features, accounts, clients, APIs, or the entire service at any time.

We do not guarantee that JelloChat will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law, JelloChat and its operators disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, reliability, and security.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, JelloChat and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, account access, content, or service availability arising from use of or inability to use JelloChat.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JelloChat and its operators from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

15. Law Enforcement and Legal Requests

We may preserve, disclose, or provide account information, content, logs, or other records if we believe it is required by law, legal process, safety needs, abuse prevention, or protection of JelloChat, users, or others.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. When these Terms materially change, we may notify users by email and show an in-app notice after login. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction selected by the service operator, unless otherwise required by law.
